What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We will only receive your personal data if you email us, which we really hope you do, and consequently if you choose to share more details with us. Again, we would love to hear from you, so we look forward to that.
Cookies
These cookies are rather less delicious than the chocolate chip variety. But they will also not compromise your efforts to get that summer body. Oh, and they are free.
When you visit our site, a non-chocolate chip cookie (which also contains no nuts or personal data) is placed on your computer. You would see the results of this in your browser history. Think of it this way, if you just ate a real cookie, you might leave some breadcrumbs behind without knowing it. When you return to the area (or more likely, when someone else does) it will be evident that you have been there, munching your cookies. This way, you know what you did. And so does everyone else. Yep. It is the same for our own non-chocolate chip personal data and nut-free cookies – it lets you personally know that you have been there before. This way, if you were to Google us in the future (or use any other search engine also available to the masses), our website name would appear in a different coloured text, and it would remind you that you have been there before. But just like in real life, it is possible to sweep away these little cookie crumbs. Some material on this site includes embedded content – in our case – our Soundcloud podcasts. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. That means that more cookies are involved, again, the non-chocolate chip type, but they are baked by someone else and may have different flavours.
External websites may collect data about you, use equally non-delicious cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and raisins, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content, how many you ate, if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Please do check out their particular privacy policy, but we reckon it will be much more boring than ours.
Analytics
We do like to know how many people come munching our cookies here at notaconsultation.com, so we do have some clever software that lets us know how many people came to buy our cookies. But honestly, when you come to visit, we have our hands over our eyes so that we don’t know took the cookies. We are not so quick at counting cookies ourselves, so we do let some cookie counters at WPMU do that for us via their software on this site. We also like Google Analytics to count, but honestly, none of us are looking when you come for your cookies. It is like a big exciting mystery to us who you are.
Who we share your data with
Will not share your personal data with anyone unless you specifically permit us to. There are just those cookie-counting people mentioned above that don’t know who you are.
How long we retain your data
If you email us, your email address is retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize your email address and previous communication quickly. No cookies are involved in this part, unless we get to meet you one day, and in that case, we might buy you a real one.
Website administrators or other professionals that we may employ to do such work for us can also see and edit that information. They may not buy you a cookie.
What rights you have over your data
If you have emailed us, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. This file contains no cookies of any description. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data
Our hosting services are encrypted and securely password protected on all devices. Where your details exist on paper, this is duly taken care of in an appropriate manner, being kept securely. Once it becomes uneccesary to retain on paper, your details will be securely shredded.

If we become aware of a data breach, we will inform the authorities within 24 hours and the people whose data could have been compromised within 7 days.
